Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Lagos Following Deadly Car Crash
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, officials in Lagos confirmed on late Wednesday. The fighter was involved in a car accident near Lagos on the 29th of December, a devastating event that resulted in the deaths of two of his close associates.
Healing from Light Wounds
Joshua had remained in the hospital while recuperating from non-critical injuries, his management team had said on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on X that Joshua was declared medically stable to continue his recovery at home.
“The boxer and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two departed friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the official remarked.
Remembering the Victims
The victims of the crash were named as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. The official further stated that the champion was filled with sorrow and full of emotions over the loss of his two trusted companions.”
